Castalla Town Hall

Renaissance-style building, with the characteristics of the civil constructions of the time in Valencia: ashlar stone façade, ground floor with three semicircular arches, upper floor with ten semicircular arched windows, sundial on the facade and balustrade. To highlight on the first floor a reproduction of the painting of the Battle of Castalla in 1812, the original painted by Langlois is in the Versailles Museum.

Castalla Castle

The recently restored Castalla Castle is located on top of a hill 780 meters high, its origin is Muslim, the fortress distinguishes three parts: The Palau, the Torre Grossa and the parade ground.

From October to March, from Tuesday to Friday at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and public holiday at 12:30 p.m.From April to September, from Tuesday to Friday at 5:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30 p.m. Sundays in May and June visit at 11am. In July and August at 11:30 am.

Convent of the Franciscan Fathers

The temple reflects the austerity of the Franciscans. With Mendizábal’s confiscation, he ceased to exercise his function and the cloister was used for social purposes.

Precious Blood Hermitage

The building was built at the time of the reconquest. It is of primitive Gothic style, with a single nave, although later two bodies and a rococo dressing room were added. It currently constitutes the headquarters of the Sang Brotherhood, which houses the image of the Virgen de la Soledad, patron saint of the city.

 

Hours: Hours of worship. Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Groups arrange a visit in the parish.

Church of the Assumption

The temple has a nave and a huge central vault, with chapels between the buttresses, among which the Renaissance-style chapel of the Virgin stands out. The main and lateral facades of the temple are also Renaissance.

Fester Museum

It shows the different regional costumes. The center, from the group of comparsas, houses the costumes worn by the festivities of both sides during the Moors and Christians festivities.
